Belle Taylor was determined to be the next Maggie Tabberer until an internship at CNN in New York made her realise the restrictive hair styling required for TV presenting.
Another internship at The Dubliner Magazine which involved writing smart-arse copy from a shabby office sandwiched between a pub and a comedy club made her appreciate where her true talents, and passions, lay.
She started her career with WA Newspapers at the Albany Advertiser in 2006 before taking up a cadetship at The West Australian in 2007. Since 2008 she has written columns and features for West Weekend Magazine proving to have an eye for the absurd, or perhaps just a healthy appreciation for it.
