A man is in hospital after being knocked unconscious outside a Sydney hotel.
Police say the 29-year-old left a pub in Manly with a mate when they were approached and assaulted by a group of men about 11.45pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
Officers arrived to find the man with suspected head injuries.
He was treated by paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
Police say his friend sustained minor facial injuries in the attack but declined treatment.
