A 33-year-old primary school teacher on the Central Coast has been charged with sexually assaulting a young girl.
It's alleged the 10-year-old was assaulted by the teacher at a local school in 2013.
Police say they received information about the assault on Tuesday, and on Wednesday detectives from the Child Abuse Squad at The Entrance arrested the teacher at the school.
He has been charged with one count of aggravated indecent assault of a victim under authority.
The man was granted strict conditional bail and is forbidden from having any contact with children under the age of 16.
He will appear before Wyong Local Court on February 6.
The NSW Department of Education and Communities has been contacted for comment.
