A 19-year-old woman has been charged with lighting a bushfire that destroyed almost 400 hectares of bushland in NSW's Lake Macquarie area.
The woman is accused of starting a fire in bushland near Killingworth on September 28 last year.
The fire destroyed 395 hectares of bushland before firefighters managed to extinguish it.
Police arrested the woman in Teralba on Thursday and seized a number of items from her home, including a Nissan Patrol 4WD and a pair of shoes.
She has been charged with knowingly causing a bushfire and was granted conditional bail to appear before Toronto Local Court on February 5.
