Police say there's nothing suspicious about the death of a man whose severely decomposed body went undiscovered for days in the heart of Cairns.
A woman crossing a street found the man's body in bushes on a traffic island on Tuesday morning.
Officers say it had been there for several days.
Police on Wednesday said the death was not suspicious.
A local business manager Brendan Turner, who works near where the body was found, said it was a sad situation.
"How can someone lie dead on a city median strip and no one notice?" he told The Courier-Mail.
Mr Turner said the road was one of the city's busiest.
No details have been released about the dead man.
