A man has been robbed at gunpoint of his phone and cash in inner Sydney.
Police say two men threatened the 27-year-old with a handgun and assaulted him in Chippendale at 10.15pm (AEDT) on Monday.
The pair got away with his bag containing phones and cash.
The duo fled in a white Hyundai Excel, last spotted travelling east along Grafton Street.
Several people watched the robbery unfold and called police.
Police searched the area but were not able to find the offenders or the car.
The first man is described as being Caucasian, aged about 40-45, 180cm to 185cm tall with a thick beard.
He was wearing a brightly coloured hooded top.
The second man is described as having a dark-tanned complexion with a large build, thick beard and wearing a dark hooded top.
