Among the "world first" technology available in the new LS is what Lexus calls its Climate Concierge, a system that ensures every passenger enjoys the ultimate thermal comfort.

The system uses 13 sensors to monitor the temperature in the cabin and then makes the necessary adjustments to the air-conditioning, via 20 outlets, to ensure the cabin temperature meets all passenger requirements - even if four different comfort levels have been selected.

The system uses the car's multi-zone climate control unit as well as the seat heating and cooling systems and the steering wheel rim heater.

It also incorporates new "nanoe" technology that releases negatively charged ions wrapped in water molecules into the cabin, which in turn attach themselves to airborne particles and molecules, purifying the air and eliminating odours.

Another feature is an analog clock that is connected to the satellite navigation system, eliminating the need to change it when driving from one time zone to another.

While it is not a feature that will get much use in WA, it would be very handy for people who live on the NSW/Queensland border in the summer when time on different sides of the road can vary by an hour.
