Pizza margherita

  • 1 x 440g can whole *

  • pinch sea salt *


  • pinch sugar *


  • ground black pepper *

  • 1 ball of dough *


  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce *


  • 150g mozzarella cheese, *


  • handful fresh basil leaves *

Puree all ingredients to the pepper in a food processor. Heat the pizza stone at 250C for 10 minutes. Knead the dough for a few minutes then roll out to roughly fit the pizza stone. Remove the stone from the oven and, working quickly, place the base on the stone. Spread over the tomato sauce. Add the sliced mozzarella then cook at 250C for about 8 minutes until crisp and cheese nicely melted. Scatter over fresh basil leaves to serve.
