She may be one of WA's top international models but Mt Hawthorn beauty Karina White still isn't used to seeing her face plastered on billboards.
"It's a little strange to see myself on the side of buses, in commercials and my pictures posted all over their shops," the 19-year-old told AAA.
Since signing to Chadwick's Perth in 2011, White's modelling profile quickly gained momentum abroad.
The past two years have seen her jet set around the globe to shoot a string of prestigious fashion campaigns, which includes working for the likes of Calvin Klein, Vivienne Westwood and Diane Von Furstenberg.
But one of her most memorable campaigns so far this year was posing for a lingerie shoot as the new face of Hong Kong-based label, Regina Miracle.
"It's exciting to be the face of such a prestigious brand," she said.
"I have shot consecutively all of their campaigns the past 12 months and hopefully will continue into the future."
Other destinations White has travelled to this year include London, Milan and Hamburg.
Over the next six months she will split her time between London and Italy, with a modelling stint in Japan also on the horizon.
But with such a busy globetrotting schedule, flying back to her home town has become a rarity.
"The last time I was in Perth was in June after three months in Hong Kong," she said.
"I don't spend much time at home but I always like to make it back in the summer for Christmas with my friends and family."
While White - who was discovered by Chadwick's at the age of 15 - is enjoying her jet-setting lifestyle, she also acknowledges that her time as a model won't last forever.
"As a model, you have to understand that your shelf life is limited," she said.
"I would like to stay in the industry as long as possible."
When the time comes to throw in the fashion towel, White plans to "pursue a career with animals or my passion for raw food".
