Elizabeth Hurley admits she was surprised to see Lady Gaga wearing her iconic Versace safety-pin dress.
The British model-and-actress hit the headlines in 1994 when she wore the revealing black gown to a red carpet event with her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant.
Eccentric singer Gaga was photographed wearing the infamous silk crepe creation - held together with strategically placed gold safety pins - in Milan recently.
Hurley was thrilled to see the Gianni Versace dress is still as popular as ever.
"I thought she looked fantastic in it. It was a real surprise, someone actually tweeted it to me and said, 'Look at this.' I thought, 'Good heavens!'" the 47-year-old star, who's engaged to Australian cricket star Shane Warne, told UK TV show Lorraine.
The gown sparked a fashion frenzy on its debut - with InStyle editor-at-large Hal Rubenstein branding it "devilishly engineered".
It boasts a plunging neckline and a thigh high slit, and Hurley believes Gaga managed to carry off the daring look.
"I thought she looked gorgeous. I think it was the same dress. I know it went into some Gianni Versace museum, it was snatched away from me 18 years ago. I have a feeling it's exactly the same one," she smiled. "What goes around comes around."
