How would you describe your style?
A bit of mix-and-match. I wouldn't say that I have one specific "style". I get bored and like to change things up, so I usually go for white/ neutrals and add pops of colour, and when I need a change, it's easy to revisit the scheme from time to time. What are the keys to creating your bedroom's look?
I usually have a white bedspread but as we've just moved house and I haven't found an amazing piece of art to go in our bedroom, I have compensated with a Moroccan-style bedspread from Sheridan and a variety of throw pillows to lift the room.
I love glass, clear or coloured, so I have a lot of pieces throughout my room, grouped together and filled with flowers in some cases. It's so versatile and, when used in the right way, it can lift any room. What are your favourite things in your bedroom?
I love my custom-made Mrs Embley candle - it smells delicious.
I also have a very cute elephant which I found at Empire and my silver-clad side table was a gorgeous piece I found at Dlux Interiors in Nedlands. On it I have some framed photos, Indian copper bowls filled with bracelets and silver cabbage tealight holders from Wheel & Barrow, and a perfume atomiser from Storm in a Tea Cup.What are your favourite local stores to find the perfect finishing touch?
Dlux Interiors, Empire Homewares, Dash, and Freedom. What are your tips for creating a beautiful bedroom?
Find a good bedspread you love and use this as a base for the room, then accessorise to complement from there.Spend money on neutrals and stand-out pieces such as vases and artwork. You don't have to spend a lot of money on the other accessories. Places such as Freedom and Gone Bazaar have great little pieces that you can use to update your room and when you get sick of the colours, and you won't feel bad outing the old and replacing with new.
