As Perth-raised designer Kym Ellery gears up for 2013 Paris Fashion Week, another WA-founded label has been making waves on the international catwalk.
Last week Cottesloe-raised Ashe Peacock, the founder of coveted London-based label Antipodium, was sitting front row at London Fashion Week in what marked the brand's fifth showing at the coveted event.
The week-long fashion festivities again drew an A-list crowd that included the likes of Vogue magazine US editor Anna Wintour, supermodel Kate Moss and former Spice Girl turned burgeoning designer Victoria Beckham.
Peacock, who returned to WA earlier this year after being based in London for the past 13 years, relaunched her boutique/PR firm Antipodium as a fashion line in 2006 with the help of the brand's creative director, Queensland-born Geoffrey Finch.
"The show has had a dazzling response," Finch told AAA.
"Buyers have loved the fresh, consumer-focused approach we embraced with this collection. I think the frankness and ease . . . is much appreciated."
The duo were also invited to a glitzy VIP fashion week bash that boasted an
exclusive celebrity guest list that included guest of honour Cara Delevingne,One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles, Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Frank Ocean.
