Maritime historian and author Chris Frame favours seagoing vessels over roadsters but loves his VW Golf.
I never considered myself a car person (ocean liners are my thing) but I love my VW Golf. It is compact while offering a huge amount of space. I am 197cm tall and there's plenty of leg room, lots of space inside and it has a boot that's much bigger than you'd think, so storage is no problems.
The interior is comfortable; the Bluetooth and media device make it easy to stay in touch and you can keep entertained through MP3. It's a great car.==MY DREAM CAR =
I've never had a dream car; I always considered them as just a way to get around. But I've become a convert for Volkswagen, and particularly my Golf.
MY FIRST CAR
My first car was a 1989 Mazda 929 V6. The best way to describe that car was that it felt like driving a couch, it was so comfortable.
I had it when it clocked 222,222km; I was driving back from Mandurah to Perth and I pulled over to get a photo of the odometer.
I reluctantly gave it up at about 260,000km when its engine finally started to fall apart.
REVHEAD RATING (1-5)
To be honest, one. I don't really spend much time thinking about cars, but I know what I like.Comfort, responsiveness and a driving environment where the designers have thought of everything. That's why I love the Golf.
