For one night next month, some of the nation's best chefs will descend on the Kimberley to cook an extraordinary five-course dinner for charity.
Hosted by The West Australian's restaurant critic and editor of The West Australian Good Food Guide, the Rob Broadfield Dinner For Telethon has already attracted a who's who of guests who will fly in a specially chartered jet for the dinner and a weekend of events at Broome's Cable Beach Club.
The glamorous event will feature Neil Perry, of Rockpool Bar and Grill fame, Rockpool head chef Dan Masters and Spice Temple Sydney's head chef Ben Pollard. Telethon general manager Steve Mummery said the dinner would become an annual event and a significant fundraiser for Telethon.
"The weekend will include pool-side fashion parades, a sunset cocktail party hosted by Rob and Neil and, of course, the extraordinary charity dinner using local produce and the flavours of Spice Temple and Rockpool," Mr Mummery said.
A limited number of extra tickets will be released at the weekend for the October 6 and 7 event.
Tickets can be purchased as a package including dinner, accommodation and flights from Perth or as dinner only for Broome locals through the Cable Beach Club.
