Whether you're running or walking, slogging out 14km or dashing through 4km, raising awareness for a charity or focusing on fitness, you won't be alone.
Sunday's HBF Run for a Reason, presented by The West Australian, is expected to draw a record crowd of more than 17,000 people - all with a reason for exercising and supporting WA charities.
The HBF Run for a Reason aims to raise money for four very worthwhile charities: Diabetes WA, Cancer Council WA, Lifeline WA and Heart Foundation WA. Fundraising for these charities has also hit a record - a whopping $1 million has been raised for the charities since the event began.
So, what can you expect at this year's event? Lots, says HBF community health manager Louise Bolt.
"The HBF Run for a Reason has a wonderful community feel to it with people coming from suburbs all over Perth to participate," Ms Bolt says.
"With music, entertainment and participants adding colour and vibrancy to their teams, this event now proudly sits among the best of the fun runs Perth has to offer."
The organisers want the Run also to include lots of fun - so look out for the on-course entertainment, including cheerleaders, bands dancers and DJs, all designed to help push you along and offer a welcome distraction along the way.
One feature of the 14km course is running on the freeway and through the 1.6km Northbridge tunnel -where a DJ will pump out beats to get you moving.
Don't forget to wear your free WEST tattoo (included in your race participation pack). If you're photographed wearing a WEST tattoo and your picture is published in The West Australian next Tuesday, you'll win an instant prize.
Pick up your free copy of The West Weekend at the WACA at the end of the course.
Ms Bolt says there is still time to enter - check out the registration page at hbfrun.com.au.
"Start groups are filling fast. Get in quickly to secure your preferred group," she says.
