Police handed out more than 180 fines during a car cruise event to honour the Fast and Furious star Paul Walker in Perth last night.
The event, which was organised by the Unforgotten Car Club, started about 8.30pm in City Beach.
A police spokeswoman said officers monitored about 3000 drivers as they made their way across the metropolitan area.
She said the fines were issued for speed-related offences.
It is understood the event was organised to pay tribute to Hollywood star Walker and raise money for his charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
Participants took to social media this morning to vent their frustrations at those who ruined the event by driving recklessly.
Walker, 40, and his friend and former race car driver Roger Rodas were killed last weekend in a fiery car crash near Los Angeles.
The actor had attended an event for his charity to raise money for the victims of the Philippines typhoon before the crash.
