Major crime squad detectives were tonight investigating after a woman was found badly injured at a Beckenham home.
Neighbours said they heard yelling at the Chiddington Street home on Thursday night before seeing an ambulance at the home about 8am today.
A young woman was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries that police described as possibly life threatening.
It was unclear how she had been injured and whether she was going to survive.
Police and forensics officers later started searching the home and spoke to several people linked to the property.
Neighbour Colin Murray said the Department of Housing-owned property was occupied by a large Aboriginal family who had regular arguments.
“The woman over the road said a van pulled up and there was a lot of noise (on Thursday night),” he said.
“There is a hell of a lot of fights there.”
Other neighbours also reported loud and frequent arguments at the property and said there were regular visitors to the home.
