UPDATE: 11:15am A 15-year-old boy has died from his injuries received in a suspected stolen vehicle crash early yesterday.
The teenager, from Brockman, a suburb of Carnarvon, died in hospital this morning.
Major Crash Investigators are seeking information regarding the serious crash in Greys Plain, Carnarvon, early yesterday morning.
A 16-year-old boy from Morgantown, Carnarvon, has been charged with a number of offences, including stealing a motor vehicle, no authority to drive and aggravated dangerous driving causing death. He will appear in court at a later date.
Two other boys who were passengers in the car, aged 14 and 16, were released with charge, pending further investigation.
A police spokesman said that police officers were on patrol on Boundary Road about 12.30am when they saw a blue Ford Falcon panel van that matched the description of one that had been reported stolen from Carnarvon on Friday evening.
The spokesman said the officers attempted to stop the vehicle.
"The vehicle was later located crashed on Harbour Road," he said. "The vehicle appears to have rolled."
"Four people were located at the crash scene, including a 15-year-old boy with serious injuries. The other three juveniles did not receive any serious injuries."
