The Weather Bureau has issued a severe weather warning for parts of the South West stretching from Margaret River to Israelite Bay with winds of up to 100km/h expected.
The warning is for a cold front that will hit the State from 10pm and is expected to move rapidly across southern parts of the South West to be near Esperance by sunrise.
It covers people in or near Bridgetown, Katanning, Albany, and Esperance.
The cold front is expected to be near the southwest Capes around midnight and is likely to have widespread damaging winds that could cause damage to property and homes.
Damaging winds are likely to develop southwest of a line Margaret River to Katanning to Bremer Bay from 10pm and extend to remaining areas overnight.
Conditions will ease west of Albany by sunrise and ease over remaining areas by late Wednesday morning.
This is typical weather for this time of the year but winds may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.
