Guy Sebastian is set to break into the American music scene after signing a recording deal in the US.
The Sydney-based singer has signed a deal with US label Cherry, The Daily Telegraph reports.
"I've just signed a deal so we will see how it goes, literally just two days ago," Sebastian told the newspaper.
The 31-year-old has been preparing for the move by partnering with some big-name American artists like Lupe Fiasco recently.
Sebastian features on Fiasco's latest track Blur My Hands following the release of their 2012 smash hit Battle Scars.
He also teamed up with Canadian rapper Swift K.I.D on the single, Bed Of Clouds, while Eve featured in his 2010 hit Who's That Girl.
In 2009, Sebastian released the single Art of Love featuring US singer Jordin Sparks.
Sebastian will support Taylor Swift on the stage for her Australian tour in December.
Earlier this year, Sebastion announced that he would be vacating the judge's chair on the popular Seven Network talent show The X Factor to focus on his music career.
The former Australian Idol winner's most recent album Armageddon reached No.1 on the ARIA chart and was the 9th biggest selling album of 2012 in Australia.
