A café in central Perth was badly damaged by a fire that started in the kitchen overnight.
The blaze broke out at Breve Café and Bar, at the Barrack Street end of the Murray Street shopping mall, about 10.55pm.
About 40 firefighters from Perth, Daglish and Osborne Park fire stations took 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the cause of the fire was accidental and nobody had been inside the café at the time.
It caused about $150,000 damage.
The café received significant smoke damage, but surrounding businesses remained unscathed.
