Update, 5.30pm: Ocean users have been warned of a white shark which was detected off Ocean Reef this afternoon.
Surf Lifesaving WA said the tagged shark was detected by a receiver in the area six times from 3.51pm to 5.08pm.
A helicopter is patrolling the area.It is not known whether the beach has been closed.

The SW and Metro Westpac Lifesaver Helicopters have both completed patrol for the day and have signed off with nothing further to report.
Fisheries advise that the Shark Monitoring Network receiver buoy 2.5 km off Trigg is back on station and in service.
