Perth label dress sells out in a tweet

Aurelio Costarella can count Underbelly actress Anna McGahan as yet another celebrity fan of his Perth-based fashion label.

McGahan donned a grape embellished Costarella Swanson gown to the 8th Annual Australians in Film Breakthrough Awards in California on Wednesday, where she received the Heath Ledger Award.

Entertainment reporter Giuliana Rancic also chose to wear a Blythe dress by Costarella on E! News recently.

Afterwards, she tweeted the designer to thank him for the outfit, which caused the dress to sell out "within minutes".

With her role on the popular Joan Rivers-hosted Fashion Police, Rancic is considered a trendsetter in the US.

Rumours abound that Costarella will return to the Perth Fashion Festival in September this year with his own stand-alone catwalk show - watch this space.
