There are two ways to view content online from The West Australian and The Weekend West.

Throughout each day, we update our website with breaking news and selected content from the newspaper.

Full digital copies of the newspaper from today and previous days are available by subscription by clicking here.

2. Digital Edition

How do I subscribe?

To subscribe to the full electronic edition of The West Australian, click here.

Where do I find technical support?

How do I order digital past issues of the newspaper?

These are available via subscriptions through our Active Past Editions. This will allow you to access all editions from July 2004 via subscription. Click here for more information.

Can I purchase individual articles online?

  1. Articles from July 2004 can be accessed by subscription from the past editions. Click here for more information.
  2. Articles that have appeared in the past 12 months can be obtained by back-ordering the paper. We will require the date the article appeared. The cover price is $1.30 weekdays and $2.30 Saturday.
  3. If the article has appeared in the past 12 months and the date it appeared is known, we can provide a photocopy for 50c per page at the front desk of Newspaper House, 50 Hasler Road, Osborne Park.

How do I change the details of my subscription?

How do I order back issues of The West Australian and The Weekend West?

5. Technical Support

How do I make the text size larger?

This can be achieved in two ways. 1] If you hold the 'Ctrl' key down while pressing the '+' [to the right of the numbered keys] key you can increase the font size of the page or 2] Again, holding the 'Ctrl' key down while pushing forward the scroll wheel on your mouse will also increase the font size.

How do I make the text size smaller?

This can be achieved in two ways. 1] If you hold the 'Ctrl' key down while pressing the '-' key [to the right of the numbered keys] you can decrease the font size of the page or 2] Again, holding the 'Ctrl' key down while pushing the scroll wheel backwards on your mouse will also decrease the font size.

How do I print just the article?

To the right of the headline on each article is a printer icon. Click this and a prompt window will open for your printer. Alternatively, you can share the article by email. Click on the email icon.

Browsers

There are settings particular to individual browsers. For more information, please refer to your browser's Help menu.

What do I need to view Acrobat pdf files?

Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.2

Why can't I see images on your site?

You may have your browser set to not view images. Please refer to your browser's Help menu. If you are inside a firewall at work, images may be blocked.

How do I know if I have video player?

If you have the correct video player, the video will play correctly in your screen when you click on it. Make sure you have the correct player as listed below.

Why can't I see video playback?

There are a number of reasons. First check you have latest versions of:

What are pop-up blockers?

Later browsers versions have pop-up blockers which stop new windows appearing. We use this function from time to time and if your browser is set to not accept pop-ups, these windows will not appear.

When a pop-up appears, in later version browsers, your menu bar will flash. Click on it for a prompt to allow pop-ups from this site. If you have queries on this, please consult your browser's Help page.

How do I book a classified advertisement online?

7. Letters and Feedback

How do I submit a letter to the editor?

All letters must be SIGNED and include the writer's full name, address (not postal) and telephone number. Send them to Letters to the Editor, WA Newspapers, GPO Box N1027, Perth WA, 6843. Fax 9482 3830 or email to letters@wanews.com.au (include full address and telephone number). Keep them short and keep copies. They may be edited for legal reasons or clarity.
