Being Lara Bingle, Tuesday, 8pm, Ten
There is some credit to be handed out for this series, and that goes to Ten for managing to eke out a profile of one fairly ordinary young woman into an eight-part series.
One episode would have been more than enough. It's not that Bingle's unlikable (that would be her brother), or that she's vacuous (that would be her brother, too), or that she moans about the media invading her life, which ranks with the most laughably hypocritical statements of the decade.
It's simply that she isn't very interesting and any mystique that might have surrounded her evaporated in the first episode.
Lara Bingle is a pretty girl who, for various reasons, none of them weighty, ended up attracting media attention. There's nothing more to be said.
