Britney Spears has donated the silver dress she wore in an ad for her latest fragrance Radiance to an auction to raise money for a friend whose son has a brain injury.
Spears' assistant Brett tweeted the details of the eBay charity auction on her account.
"Such a great cause," he said.
"Brit donated her dress from the Radiance ad to our friend David, who started a trust for his son with a brain injury.
"He put the dress up for auction & all proceeds will go to his son's cause."
The family friend, David Van Daff, has a two-year-old son who was born with brain damage and now suffers from quadriplegic cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease and seizures.Bidding in the auction, which runs until January 29, stood at $7300 yesterday.
