Dan spells it out - no return for Harry

Daniel Radcliffe has ruled out a return to the big screen as Harry Potter.

The star is adamant he will not take on the role in J.K. Rowling's new film, which was inspired by the world-renowned franchise.

The author is making her screenwriting debut with Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, a movie based on a Hogwarts textbook from the Potter movies, but Radcliffe, left, has confirmed he will not be involved.

He says: "I first thought 'Thanks Jo, I'm going to have to answer tons of questions about this now'. I'm sure they're going to have a great time (making it). I'm sure most people are really excited about it . . . Needless to say I wouldn't be involved in it and I guess none of the others (from the Harry Potter films) will be but I know absolutely nothing about it."

Rowling has revealed her new venture is neither a prequel nor a sequel but will be an extension of the wizarding world.
