Jennifer Lawrence says Aussie actor Hugh Jackman running to her rescue after her Oscars fall "fixes the whole moment".
The 22-year-old actress' dramatic dress and high heels caused her to take a tumble while climbing the stairs to accept her best actress award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.
Les Miserables star Jackman got up from his seat to help the struggling star, but she was so overcome by embarrassment she failed to notice the Hollywood hunk lending a hand.
"I just heard about that," she told ET Online.
"I didn't know 'cause I was so in my cloud of, like, 'I want to die.' I had no idea. That actually fixes the whole moment."
Jackman didn't think twice about jumping from his seat to help Lawrence, because he was "feeling for her" in the moment she tripped in full view of the audience and cameras.
"I thought, 'She's caught in that [dress] and she's falling into the abyss,' but she was fine. She didn't need me," he said.Lawrence was spotted embracing her family with her Oscar in her hand after completing the interview backstage, jumping into the arms of her loved ones, holding on to the golden statuette firmly.
