As the fresh young faces behind *Perth *boutique Billie & Rose, it goes without saying that fashion aficionado *Pippa McAuliffe *and former colleague turned "BFF" *Emmi Moore *have given the established retailer a new lease of life.
With a passion for fashion flowing through her veins for as long as she can remember, McAuliffe, 29, began her career with Billie & Rose as retail manager and quickly caught the eye of the previous owners, who last year offered her and rocker fiance *Chris Simmons *- a member of local band Sugar Army and a silent partner in the business - an opportunity to buy the retailer.
"I was approached by Billie & Rose to work for them and manage their stores," McAuliffe told _ AAA _. "And I suppose I had a small contact that if they were ever going to sell Billie & Rose, I would be their first pick then Chris and I were approached to buy it, and we used our life savings."
The couple officially took over the fashion retailer last February and, with the help of their marketing guru, Moore - a former Ralph swimsuit model of the year and girlfriend of West Coast Eagle *Chris Masten * - the trio have injected their own quirk and sass into the existing fashion offerings.
"Since we've bought Billie & Rose, our main focus of the year is to get that cult name back and to get our crazy pieces, which Billie was really known for in WA," McAuliffe said.
"Taking on Emmi, she's pretty much our managing co-ordinator. It helps that she's a model too, so she can do our in-house modelling for us, which is really good."
And in what will be big coup for the fashion retailer, model turned reality star *Lara Bingle *will be flying into Perth next week to check out Billie & Rose's offerings, including the latest addition to its racks - pieces from rising WA designer *Garth Cook *.
"She was completely on board and she'll be here for three days," Moore said.
While McAuliffe and Moore will be showing Bingle around town and hosting a private dinner for her on Monday night, they'll also be up front and centre at Cook's upcoming spring-summer 2013/14 launch on Tuesday.
The pair said they couldn't wait to show the 25-year-old fashionista - who will be staying at *The Terrace Hotel *- around their soon-to-be-completed fashion warehouse in *Maylands *.
"She'll be coming to hang out with all our staff here at the warehouse, she wants to see what we're doing here," Moore said.
McAuliffe said there were plans to roll out an online store in the coming weeks and that they also were working on their own label, which would be unveiled later this year.
