UPDATE: Channel Seven newsreader turned TV host Paula Voce has welcomed two new additions to her brood after giving birth to twins.
The two bubs - a girl named Alexa and a boy named Jaxon - will be the younger siblings to Voce's two-year-old daughter Jorja.
Though it has been known that Voce and her husband Jim Ilias were expecting twins, the mother-of-three has kept quiet about her personal life and turned down an interview opportunity with The West Australian last year.
Speaking from her hospital bed yesterday, Voce told AAA she was "surprised but so delighted" when she discovered she was having twins last year.
"We knew we were in for trouble," she laughed.
"They certainly know what they want. They've got a good set of lungs, both of them."
Voce said Jorja was smitten with her new brother and sister: "She's very excited about being a big sister."
Having started her journalistic career in Kalgoorlie before moving to Seven in Perth, Voce made the move from newsreading to presenting last year when she hosted the network's local lifestyle series, Create, Design, Live.
On whether she will return to her TV career this year, Voce said she was keen to get in front of the cameras "as soon as possible"."Obviously I'd need a few months (off) but I love working at Channel Seven, I love working in the newsroom," she said.
