Co-star hated me: Sam Worthington

Rockingham-raised actor Sam Worthington says that Keira Knightley "hated" him after he took method acting a little too far on the set of their film.

The Avatar star, 35, said he struggled to get into the role of a complacent husband, opposite Knightley as his wife, in the recent movie Last Night.

"I thought if I treat her with complacency - like the character in the movie - that might help. So in the second week, I became complacent," he told Metro. "In my head, I thought my character should be a bit of a jerk. Keira started to hate me. But to me that meant things were going well. We nailed our relationship right there."
