Lara Bingle regularly posts snaps of herself wearing her bikinis for Cotton On Body, but a designer has now accused the model of copying her swimsuits.
Lisa Marie Fernandez claims Bingle's collection for the Australian retailer features pieces that are direct copies of her signature neoprene swimsuits and said she would be contacting Cotton On about the issue.
"I haven't spoken to Lara since her collection has come out ... I was planning on seeing her and bringing it up," Fernandez, whose designs have been worn by celebrities like Rihanna and Nicole Richie, said.
"I don't know how much power she has with a big company like Cotton On."
The designer added there were other labels that had also been "shamelessly copying" her products.
Though Bingle's line does feature a neoprene zip-up one-piece, a source close to the star said Fernandez's accusations were just a "grab for attention".
A spokesperson for Cotton On Body declined to comment and said that had not heard from Fernandez about the issue.Bingle, who is dating Rockingham-raised hunk Sam Worthington, is next set to launch an underwear line with the retailer next month.
