While they were rarely seen together as a family in the past, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has been photographed out and about with estranged husband Orlando Bloom and their son Flynn just a day after the couple confirmed their split.
Photos, taken on Saturday, show Kerr and Bloom putting on a united front while strolling the streets of Manhattan with 2 1/2-year-old Flynn.
In one shot, the model and actor have their arms linked. Another photo shows Bloom, 36, giving 30-year-old Kerr a kiss on the cheek.
The former couple, who are no longer wearing their wedding rings, appear in good spirits as they spend some quality time with their little boy.
The British Lord of the Rings star insisted at the weekend there were no hard feelings between him and Kerr, one of the world's highest-paid models.
"We're not friends. We're family," Bloom said when asked if they were still on good terms.
When questioned about why they had broken up, Bloom shook his head: "Life is a mystery, you know. It doesn't always work out the way you want ... but it's all good."
They were also spotted returning to the same apartment in the city separately on Friday night, just hours after they revealed they had split in a joint statement that said: "Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.
"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support, and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
The couple, who wed in July 2010, reportedly split up six months ago but only decided to announce it after Bloom gushed about his chemistry with his co-star Condola Rashad, daughter of Cosby Show star Phylicia Rashad, in the new Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet.
He said: "We sometimes get applause after our first kiss because it just goes on. Sometimes I'm like 'I'm not letting go'."
Speculation had been rife about both Kerr and Bloom's extramarital affairs, with the former face of David Jones linked to actor Leonardo DiCaprio last year.
Kerr, who was raised in Gunnedah, NSW, first met Bloom backstage at a lingerie fashion show for Victoria's Secret in New York in 2006.
