Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) leads a complicated life, helping to keep the balance between humanity and a seemingly endless parade of supernatural creatures. And it's his commitment to this cause that makes living a normal life extremely difficult. Take tonight's first episode, for example. After pulling out all the stops to put together the perfect getaway with Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), Nick is forced to put the romance on hold and turn his attention to a nearby domestic dispute. Later, Nick takes Juliette on a double date with Hank (Russell Hornsby) but soon finds out he has a history with his best friend's date.
