The clock is ticking for Cal Ormond as he continues his year-long quest to solve the deadly family secret in Conspiracy 365 Endgame, the final episode in the 12-part television series based on the popular young adult books by Gabrielle Lord.
Ahead of the finale on December 1, Movie Network Channels' Family Movie Channel (FMC) will air the season again in its entirety, with two episodes screening each day from Monday. The first two episodes, January and February, take viewers back to where the story began, with Cal at his father's funeral being warned about the Ormond Singularity, a family mystery that kills those who seek to solve it. Will Cal be able to achieve in 365 days where his ancestors failed? Who can he trust as he ends up on the streets wanted for a crime he didn't commit?
Across the season young Adelaide actor Harrison Gilbertson has seen his character, Cal, chased by police and imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital, never sure who he can trust. He also stepped up to the challenge of playing Cal's long-lost kidnapped twin brother, Ryan.
Gilbertson, 19, finished filming the series a year ago and is keen to see it all it one hit when the DVD is released next month.
"It has been cool watching it all unfold and when the DVD is released, I'll watch them all through and see how I fared," he said.
He had not read the books when he landed the role but soon realised how popular they were.
"When I got cast I went to the library to find out a bit more about them and the librarian said 'If you want to borrow one you are going to have to wait a couple of months because they are always out'. So that was 'Yes, this is bigger than I thought it was'."
Gilbertson is no stranger to acting, having starred in the acclaimed Australian Rules when he was just six.
Starring opposite Geena Davis in Accidents Happen helped open doors in the US, where he worked with Ed Harris and Jennifer Connelly on Virginia.
Harrison won the AFI young actor's award in 2010 for his role in Beneath Hill 60 and recently finished filming On Her Knees, one of the stories from Tim Winton's The Turning, opposite Susie Porter.
When we spoke, Harrison was soon to head to the US to shoot a film with Jackie Weaver.
"I have just been cast in a film shooting in Utah so I am about to head over there, I'm pretty excited," he said.
"It is a horror film called Haunt, the people who did District 9 and Paranormal Activity are putting out.
"It is really hard to learn for it because I don't like reading the script."
Conspiracy 365 has featured an impressive adult cast including Kate Kendall as Cal's mum Emily, Lawrence Mooney as Cal's Irish saviour Dr Theophilus Brinsley, and Rob Carlton and Julia Zemiro as baddies Sligo and Oriana."I enjoyed working with everyone, you learn as much from the caterer as you do from the most experienced actor - so just talk with everyone," Gilbertson said.
