The much-lauded ABC series The Slap is up for yet another award, after being nominated for an International Emmy for best Drama Series.

It will compete against contenders from Singapore, Hong Kong, Argentina and France.

The mini-series, based on the best-selling novel by Chris Tsiolkas, is also reportedly under consideration by the US network NBC to be re-worked for American audiences.

The Seven Network's reality show The Amazing Race Australia was also nominated for an International Emmy, while Foxtel's SLiDE is one of four programs up for best Kids Series.
