Lovato set for a big Aussie love-in

Demi Lovato has announced a tour of Australia, and it's a day her Aussie fans have been begging for.

The US singer has such a following in Australia that her fans launched the "Operation Demi to Australia" campaign two years ago.

Over the past two years, swarms of "Lovatics" have tried to convince Lovato to come to Australia to perform live.

And if you don't think this is really a major campaign, just check out the Operation Demi to Australia YouTube series.

The video series documents her fans as they hand out CDs to strangers to spread the Lovato love. One clip even shows fans on Channel Seven's Sunrise show brandishing banners and imploring the star to come Down Under.

So after all this convincing, the star is coming to Australia for her first ever tour of the country.

But she is yet to tweet about the dates, much to the chagrin of her many followers (25.5 million twitter followers, in fact).

"DDLOVATO COME ONLINE CAUSE YOU'RE ACTUALLY COMJNG DOWN UNDER" infinityl0vato tweeted.

"hello? Your Aussie Lovatics are waiting for you to tweet about your DEMIWORLDTOUR down under," OliveWahh said.

It is Thanksgiving in the US, so Lovato will more than likely be forgiven for having the day off.
