Perth will miss out as Aerosmith walk this way for the first time in 24 years.

The American rockers will plays gigs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in April and May.

“I’m thrilled to bring Aerosmith back to Australia,” promoter Andrew McManus said in a statement.

“They are one of the greatest rock and roll bands in the world and I can’t wait for them to rock out with their loyal Aussie fans.”

Special guests for the concerts include Wolfmother, Grinspoon, Spiderbait, The Dead Daisies, Kingswood and Diva Demolition for the first stop in Sydney, with The Dead Daisies also joining Aerosmith in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Aerosmith’s hits include Walk This Way, Dude Looks Like a Lady, Janie’s Got a Gun, Love in an Elevator, Livin’ on the Edge, Angel, Rag Doll, Cryin’, Crazy, I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing (from the film Armageddon).

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, the group has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide and won four Grammys.

Aerosmith last played Australia in 1990.
