Beyonce will tour Australia later this year as part of a world tour - with dates yet to be confirmed.

The Halo singer unveiled the first details of The Mrs Carter Show World Tour following her performance at the Super Bowl on Monday, Australian time.

The tour starts in Belgrade, Serbia, on April 15 and wraps up on May 29 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Beyonce then begins a US leg on June 28 in Los Angeles and finishes in Brooklyn, New York on August 3.

The star will also be the main opening-night attraction at Rock in Rio 2013, which starts on September 13.

It was also announced that a second wave of The Mrs Carter Show World Tour is planned for Latin America, Australia and Asia later this year, according to the Associated Press.
