Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter Bruno Mars has been forced to cancel his forthcoming Australian and New Zealand promo tour, where he was due to promote the release of his new album, Unorthodox Jukebox, out next month.
Mars has been suffering from a throat infection that has become progressively worse over the past few weeks.
After his performance on Saturday Night Live in the US, he was advised to go on "vocal rest", which has forced him postpone his upcoming tours and performances.
An apologetic Mars tweeted yesterday morning: "Australia and New Zealand I'm pushing my trip back because when I come I wanna come correct. I'm planning the tour as we speak. Love Yall (sic)."Mars was due to perform on Seven's smash-hit talent show The X Factor next week.
