Harry Potter fans, brace yourselves
Tom Felton, who plays the young Slytherin villain Draco Malfoy, arrived in Perth yesterday - just a day after Potter creator J.K Rowling announced her Pottermore interactive website containing 18,000 words of unpublished footnotes for the seven books.
The 23-year-old Felton, who recently won an MTV Movie Award as Best Villain, is in WA for his headline appearance at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo at Claremont Showgrounds this weekend.
Posing exclusively for _The Weekend West _, London-based Felton was excited to be out and about in Perth after hearing rave reviews from his older brother, who has lived in Melbourne for four years.
"My brother, when he came to Australia, travelled around and raved about Perth," he said.
Felton is also spruiking the eighth and final Potter film - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - which hits Australian cinemas on July 13.
During Supanova, Felton said he would be ready for the fanfare that comes with having a loyal army of fans from all over the world.
"I love doing these conventions," he said. "There's certainly some dedicated fans out there."
Despite the Potter series coming to an end, Felton's workload only continues to grow.
As well as a burgeoning music career, he stars alongside James Franco in the coming blockbuster Rise of the Planet of the Apes and will co-star with Twilight actress Ashley Greene in The Apparition, a big-budget thriller set for release next year.
