Former Home and Away and Stingers star Jason Clarke is building on his success in films like Lawless and the upcoming Kathryn Bigelow-directed Zero Dark Thirty by landing a role in a Terrence Malick-produced film.
Deadline.com reports Clarke will play Abraham Lincoln's cold and verbally abusive father in The Green Blade Rises.
The film is written and directed by AJ Edwards, who has worked with Malick on three films including the acclaimed The Tree of Life.
Clarke will be seen on Australian screens in John Hillcoat's Lawless in October, where he plays the brother of Shia LeBeouf and Tom Hardy.He also has a role in Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby, to be released in 2013.
