Matt Damon may have bowed out of the Bourne series after three films but it doesn't seem to have hurt the franchise.
The Bourne Legacy, starring Jeremy Renner, Ed Norton and Rachel Weisz, has rocketed straight to the top of the Australian box office.
The fourth film in the series based on the Robert Ludlum novels took in $4.2 million at the weekend, more than double its nearest rival, the Australian production The Sapphires.

Warner Bros. has officially passed on developing a multi-tiered adaptation of Stephen King's epic The Dark Tower series - the second studio to do so.
The studio had been linked to the project - which was to consist of three movies and a tie-in TV miniseries featuring the same cast - after Universal Pictures passed on it last summer.
However according to trade paper Variety, a Dark Tower adaptation is now on indefinite hold after Warner Bros turned the project down at the weekend.
Ron Howard was attached to direct at least the first part of the series which weaves the saga of Roland Deschain, the Gunslinger.Russell Crowe was said to have been interested in the role of the Gunslinger.
