Miley plotted Montana murder
Dolly Parton says Miley Cyrus wanted to "murder" Hannah Montana.
The country icon admitted she was concerned when her god-daughter told her she was planning a dramatic reinvention to move away from being known as the Disney character that made her famous.
"As a little girl she was great, but then she started to grow up. And people didn't want her to grow up - they got mad at her," Parton told The Sun newspaper.
"Well, that's how everyone has been with Miley. One day she'd had enough and told me, 'I need to murder Hannah Montana in order for people to accept who I really am'.
"I think she felt she had to make that severe a change. And she obviously did. I was very worried - I was holding my breath, hoping that people didn't totally crucify her."
Parton added she gave a warning to Cyrus, insisting at some point the audience could turn on her if she went too far with her risque performances.
"I'm hoping that she holds it in the road and doesn't do so many things that are that bizarre," the Jolene hitmaker said.
"I don't think the crowd would be so forgiving again if she did anything else that was really offensive. I don't want it to overshadow her talent."
Meanwhile, Cyrus has told critics to "shut the f… up" and let her get well as she remains in hospital.
The Wrecking Ball singer was admitted for medical treatment last week after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has had to cancel gigs on her Bangerz tour.
Tired of speculation surrounding her health, Cyrus tweeted: "Shut the f… up & let me heal. stop scaring my family, friends, & fans."
The 21-year-old attached a statement which read: "Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalised and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans."
