Cate Blanchett is offering herself up as a prize for a charity that's close to her heart.
A lunch for four with the Oscar-winning actress at Sydney's ARIA restaurant will be auctioned on Saturday at the annual Oasis Ball in Sydney.
The money raised will be directed to the Salvation Army's Oasis Youth Support Network, and Oasis Director Major Robbin Moulds said in a statement they anticipate the auction "will break all previous bidding records".
Last year's Oasis Ball raised almost $350,000 for the organisation, which is based in Surry Hills and offers services to help disconnected young people get back on their feet.Blanchett is also a patron of The Oasis: Short Film Competition, raising awareness about homelessness and open to school students.
