Glamour couple Dannii Minogue and Kris Smith have cast doubt over the future of their relationship with a series of tweets, believed to stem from disagreements about her heavy international workload.

The new parents of baby Ethan, who live and work in both Australia and the UK, traded jibes on Twitter late last week before the comments were deleted on Saturday, Britain's News of the World reported.

"Never chase love. If it isn't given freely by another person, it isn't worth having," Australia's Got Talent judge, Dannii, 39, posted.

The comment was followed later with: "Forgiving someone does not mean forgetting what they did. It simply means letting go of the hurt".

Rugby star-turned model Smith, 32, also weighed in with: "You don't know what you've got til it's gone".

Minogue's Australia's Got Talent colleague Kyle Sandilands appeared to confirm the split on his radio show this morning.

"It's the curse of the Australia's Got Talent judging panel," he said.

"I was with her yesterday, and Kris separately. Brian and I were giving Dannii a little cuddle. She's invited me on a date, she's invited me to the Kylie Minogue concert."

However, a few minutes later Sandilands backtracked saying: "This is still really rumour, rumour...neither of them yesterday said to my face 'It's finished.' They could just be going through rocky times."

It was announced this month that Dannii will not continue as a judge on Britain's top-rating X Factor due to production clashes with her Australian television commitments, but despite the change, the couple are reportedly still facing family challenges.

"Kris is not happy about Dannii's heavy workload and wants her to spend more time with him and baby Ethan, and has put his foot down," an unnamed friend told News of the World.

"Dannii is not happy about having to choose between work and family, and they have been arguing about this recently.

"For the past few months it feels like when one is in Australia the other's in the UK."

Since the tweets were deleted the couple posted comments discussing Ethan's first birthday celebrations in July.
