You have to hand it to the Brits, they know how to get the mix right for a reality show. The first set of four brides to compete against each other are preordained to clash and with the chance to win a honeymoon in Barbados dangling, they come out swinging.

Sam, 36, is a pub landlady and plans a rock party after her wedding to a toothless biker. Janne, 56, will wed in the local church with homemade afternoon tea to follow in the village hall.

Glamour model Aimi, 35, is having a $50,450 wedding on a yacht in Cyprus. Donna, 32, will have a simple wedding to Kelvin, 21, with a "mad" party to follow. Aimi's is the first wedding and Janne speculates with the others about whether Aimi's orange-glow fake tan will rub off in the 42C heat. It's lovely stuff.
