Robbie Williams has fuelled rumours he is to become a father, only days after marrying long-term partner Ayda Field.

The British pop singer, who married Field at his Beverly Hills home on Saturday, has invited friends to a mystery party next week.

Many friends are speculating it will be a baby shower after guests were shown the latest addition to Williams' home - a room specifically intended to be a nursery - at the couple's wedding.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ayda's worked on everything from layouts to colour schemes." Another added: "It's so strange to have a party so soon after the wedding."

The wedding, which included 40 guests, took place under a marquee which had been erected in the grounds of the singer's mansion.

The newlyweds are reportedly planning a honeymoon in Mexico before moving on to the English seaside resort of Blackpool for a British-style holiday.
