Mark Ronson to party with Kevin Parker in Perth

Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker will be part of Mark Ronson’s full-on musical party when the producer tours Down Under.

The superstar DJ has announced the guest vocalists and performers for his Splendour in the Grass sideshows.

Ronson will be joined on stage by Perth singer Parker and R’n’B artist Daniel Merriweather.

Both singers feature on Ronson tracks: Merriweather was the vocalist on the producer’s 2007 remake of the Smiths’ song Stop Me while Parker sings on Daffodils on Ronson’s album Uptown Special.

Ronson previously got sentimental in his praise of Parker, right, saying he had essentially created a new sound for the world — which stemmed out of a bedroom in Shenton Park.

“I think commercially his biggest records are yet to come but how beloved that record (Lonerism) is by musicians and bands and people who love music alike is basically unheard of,” Ronson toldThe West Australian .

“The groundswell of like, love and admiration for the band is pretty unparalleled, I think.”

Ronson’s guest performers will include Tame Impala offshoot Pond and Yolanda Be Cool.

Uptown Funk collaborator Bruno Mars won’t be in tow but US artists MNDR, Alex Greenwald, rapper Theophilus London and Keyone Starr will all feature as guest vocalists.

Ronson kicks off his Australian tour in Perth at Metro City on July 22.
