He has become a TV favourite since he began co-hosting Seven afternoon panel show The Daily Edition in 2013.

But *Kris Smith *will be scaling back from the program this year to focus on new endeavours.

Producers announced yesterday that while the English hunk, below, would still be seen in segments from time-to-time, he would no longer be appearing on the show as one of the main hosts.

"Kris was with us on day one and has been a huge part of the success of the show," executive producer *Sarah Stinson *told an Eastern States publication.

"He will always be a part of our motley crew and will still be appearing on the program in various capacities through 2015. It just won't be on a daily basis."

  • Sally Obermeder *, *Tom Williams *and *Monique Wright *will continue on the panel when The Daily Edition returns on February 3.

It is believed Smith, who is a long-time Myer ambassador, is pulling away from the show to dedicate more time to his burgeoning endeavours, having recently embarked on a partnership with the Weightloss & Health Institute.

The venture will reportedly require the former rugby league star to jet overseas regularly, where he will contribute to fitness programs and provide inspiration for clients trying to slim.
